Samoa couple denies drug charges
A couple who were arrested after marijuana and an unlawful weapon were found among their belongings during a Police raid last month appeared in the Supreme Court on Monday.
Paulo and Tricia Afamasaga were summoned before Justice Lesatele Rapi Va’ai to face two charges of possession of marijuana and one charge of possession of an unlawful weapon.
Their lawyer, Fepuleai Ameperosa Roma entered a not guilty plea on behalf of his clients for all the charges.
Fepuleai asked the court to grant Paulo bail.
This was granted by Justice Lesatele. He ordered the defendant to surrender his travel documents to the Court and report to the Police every Monday and Thursday.
