Biggest Yellowfin award goes to Russ Cox

Russ Cox, (L) crewmember of the Bonavista 2 receives his award for catching the largest yellowfin tuna —weighing in at 91 lbs — in the Steinlager 13th I’a Lapo’a International Gamefishing Tournament held last week in the territory.

Presenting the awards at the banquet on Saturday night at Sadie’s by the Sea was Sonja Stanley Galea’i, representing the Steinlager distributors in American Samoa.

Steinlager, along with the American Samoa Visitors Bureau, were the major sponsors of the tournament, which had boats participating from New Zealand, Samoa and American Samoa.
