$1.5 million more in refunds released by Treasury
Approximately $1.15 million was released Friday afternoon for those who filed their tax returns up to Jan. 25, said Tax Office manager Melvin Joseph.
$725,372 (63%) of the total refund batch released yesterday was for the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC), funded by the US Internal Revenue Service, $426,171 (37%) is for local returns.
The overall total of tax refunds released since the beginning of January now stands at $2.27 million with $854,915 in local and $1.42 million for ACTC.
