![The first person to make a catch on Tuesday during the Inshore Family Fishing Derby held as part of the activities of DMWR’s ‘National Fishing and Boating Week’ 2012 was a young girl named Emily (pictured here) who landed a stone fish.
Immediately after recognizing her catch, the DMWR crew, aware of the dangers of this fish, which is extremely poisonous, warned the young girl not handle it, as they carefully removed it from her line.
