Samoa govt warned against wasting millions

The ruling government was yesterday warned against the duplication of duties among public servants, costing the country “millions.”

The leader of the Tautua Samoa Party, Palusalue Fa’apo II made the comment when he spoke about the Customary Land Advisory Commission Bill 2012 in Parliament.

The bill – which passed its first reading yesterday – proposes to allow the lease of customary land to foreign companies for economic development.
