Parents call on governor to expedite gym for Nuuuli Vo-Tech

Gov. Togiola Tulafono said, on his weekend radio program, there have been many calls and requests from parents of students at Nu’uuli Vocational Technical High School for funding to build a gymnasium however, the high school campus lacks available space.

Some have suggested the facility be built between certain classroom buildings, but that would block the flow of air to the classrooms making it very uncomfortable for students said Togiola.

He said the priority at this point is to renovate the school cafeteria, which would provide more space for the school. He apologized to parents about the delay in building a gym, but believed the government must look at all the issues before making a final decision.
