PFC ALOFALEUMAMO R. LEOFILI

Army Pfc. Alofaleumamo R. Leofili has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions.  Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

Leofili is the nephew of Liua Tufele of American Samoa.

He is a 2006 graduate of Fagaitua High School. He earned an associate degree in 2009 from American Samoa Community College.

PFC ALVIN LIN

Army Pfc. Alvin Lin has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions.  Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

Lin is the brother of Aaron Lin of American Samoa.

He is a 2005 graduate of Tafuna High School. He earned an associate degree in 2010 from American Samoa Community College.

PFC FAATAPEPE POTASI-FAAPITO

Army Pfc. Faatapepe Potasi-Faapito has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

Potasi-Faapito is the daughter of Leuma Potasi of American Samoa.

She is a 2001 graduate of Nuuuli Poly Technical High School.

PFC MAFOLAALELA A. UELIGATONE

Army Pfc. Mafolaalela A. Ueligatone has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

Ueligatone is the daughter of Naoafioga and James Ueligatone of American Samoa.

 She is a 2000 graduate of Manumalo Baptist School, Malaeimi. She earned an associate degree in 2006 from American Samoa Community College.
