Cocaine, marijuana at Pesega in Samoa
Police are continuing their investigations into a suspected cocaine manufacturing business following the arrest of a 47-year-old man from Faleula last week on Thursday.
Assistant Police Commissioner, Leaupepe Fatu Pula said Police raided the man’s business premises at Pesaga and found drugs and other instruments used for its use.
The man operates a refrigeration business in the area, said Leaupepe.
“They found marijuana plants, cocaine and instruments used for smoking this drug.”
“He is being charged with the possession of narcotics and will appear in Court on 22 October.”
Leaupepe said that these may not be the final charges against the man since Police have yet to finalise their investigations.
“Our concern is the number of people involved in manufacturing and selling of the drugs.”
Leaupepe also pointed out if this drug is being made in homes and sold around Apia “the concern is its side effects on the health of those addicted or taking the drug”.
