September is National Preparedness Month
To kick off National Preparedness Month 2011— 'A Time To Remember, A Time to Prepare,' the American Samoa Government, in conjunction with the American Samoa Department of Homeland Security, held a one day National Preparedness expo on September 1 at Utulei Beach Park...
to inform the public about the importance of the preparedness of homes, businesses, schools and communities for any type of emergency-from natural disasters to potential terrorist attacks and other man-made threats.
There will be a DHS Out Reach team set up today at the Fagatogo Market place and an Evacuation Drill at Aua Elementary tomorrow, with another DHS Out Reach team at the LBJ Tropical Medical Center this coming Friday, to finish out the week.
There will also be Out Reach teams and evacuation drills in Manu'a starting next Monday September 19 and running through the week.
