Samoa Senior Officer fined $550
People in high ranking positions should not abuse the authority that comes with a title. That’s the message from Judge Mata Tuatagaloa last Thursday, when handing down sentencing for Senior Sergeant Sa’u Filemu, who was convicted of assault and swearing at his co-workers.
Sergeant Filemu was ordered to pay a fine of $550 or serve a two months jail sentence. The Sergeant admitted he slapped a police officer on 6 June, 2011.
