Samoa grandfather convicted of rape
A 52-year-old grandfather who had been entrusted to look after his granddaughter raped her twice.
He also threatened to beat his 13-year-old victim if she told anyone.
The man’s name has been supressed to protect the identity of the victim.
Last Friday, an assessor panel of two men and two women found the man guilty before Justice LesateleRapiVaai, in the Supreme Court.
