Samoa-Cooks shipping route underway early next year

The first voyage of a Samoa shipping service between Apia and the northern Cook Islands will take place early in the new year.

The Cook Islands Deputy Prime Minister of the Cook Islands Tom Marsters says the Samoa Shipping Corporation’s chief executive has promised to bend over backwards to ensure the voyage goes ahead as planned.

He has been assured that the first run will be early next year at a time of the Cook Islands choosing.

Mr Marsters says those in the northern group should immediately start coordinating cargo wanted and needed in the new year.
