On Wednesday afternoon, November 23, the Gov. H. Rex Lee Auditorium in Utulei was the venue for a very special graduation in the Territory. On that day, the University of Hawaii-Manoa College of Education granted 26 student/teachers their Masters degrees in Education.

It was the first Masters Cohort class for American Samoa. Seen here, graduates line up along the stairs at the Fale Laumei as they await the ceremony which ends a two and a half year journey with their diploma and tears of joy.
