ASHSAA Girls Volleyball update

In American Samoa High School Athletic Association (ASHSAA) Girls Volleyball action this past Tuesday, the Fa’asao Marist Cougars traveled to Samoana High School to take on the high powered Samoana Sharks and walked away victorious in the Varsity match up, while being downed in Junior Varsity action.

In the first game of the evening, the Cougars came out strong against the Sharks in the junior varsity match up in the first set, but were not able to hold on, as the Sharks took the match in two sets; 17-16, 17-8.

When the Varsity girls took to the court, it was the Cougars, who once again came out strong and were able to hold the lead in both sets, to take a two-straight set win, for the match, shocking the home crowd; 17-8, 17-14.

Today, November 10, it will be Fa’asao taking on the Tafuna Warriors in Tafuna, as well as Manumalo Baptist Academy versus Iakina Adventist Academy, also in Tafuna. Next week on Monday November 14, Nu’uuli VochTech will be traveling to Leone to battle it out with the Leone Lions, while Samoana will be playing against the Warriors at THS.

On Tuesday November 15, the Fagaitua Vikings will be traveling to Kanana Fou High School to go against the Stallions, while it will be Iakina versus Fa’asao in Tafuna and Manumalo playing against Samoana at SHS.
