Cool Stuff: Solo Stove & CRKT's Shakulu

When Agriculture Director Melila Purcell was a Laie, BYU-Hawaii student, bet he used the “Autograph Tree” to leave cute messages to Moana. Way too cute for me to visualize that sappy stuff, especially since they are way too cute grandparents, with way too cute kids, and have disgustingly cute grandchildren.

Well Melila & Moana, I own my very own personal "Autograph Tree" in my backyard, and I have a way too cute "Cool Stuff" goodie that actually consumes parts of your sappy tree.

Malamalama aga o le kanesa: You and your colon

Here's a fun fact: more than 400 types of bacteria totaling two to four pounds live in your colon. The colon is an organ about six feet long and could be considered the "plumbing system" for the human body. The processing of the food you eat begins in the stomach where enzymes unlock the nutrients in food, breaking down the proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

Cool Stuff: Eat N' Tool, Manti Raw

Samoa News sent me to cover the emotional battle over 2nd Amendment Rights at the firearm's industry's Shot Show and of course I end up gravitating toward fia ai utensels and hanging out with Ted Nugent.

The CRKT Eat N' Tool ($7.99) and the XL version ($14.99) are terrific for its "spork" eating capabilities, its screw driver, its nut tightening psuedo wrench, its bottle opener, can opener on the XL and a few secret functions I will gladly share over my second tall brown bottle of Vailima, that you, a Coolio, will shout me at the Tradewind's Bar.

FIJI BATTERED BY CYCLONE EVAN

Cyclone Evan has wrecked homes, brought down trees and caused flooding across Fiji's main island.

The biggest cyclone in 20 years to hit the Pacific island nation is believed to have been destroyed a number of homes in Fiji’s second largest city, Lautoka, in western Viti Levu.

Tonight power was cut and land and mobile phone lines went down, but before they were lost, there were reports of major damage.

On the northern coast of Viti Levu, flood waters hit Ba, Raikiraki and Tavua.
