Island-wide cleanup called for all ASG employees
All public schools will be closed today, Apr. 25, after a weekend in which American Samoa once again escaped another storm, when Tropical Cyclone Amos, moved south late on Saturday.
The hurricane passed over the territory, around 5:30a.m. Saturday morning, leaving behind several areas of Tutuila with fallen trees and debris on the main highway, and power outages, which were resolved as soon as possible, as power authority crews worked their way through each problem area. No water supply disruptions were reported.
