HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Weather Service in Honolulu has expanded the Flash Flood Watch to include Kahoolawe, Kauai, Lanai, Maui, Molokai, Niihau and Oahu until 6 p.m. Sunday.
Rainfall amounts from Hurricane Ana of 3 to 6 inches with locally up to 8 inches. In addition to possible flash flooding, excessive runoff may result in rock and mudslides in steep terrain.
Hurricane Ana will continue to bring heavy rain and thunderstorms to the Big Island today. Heavy rain and thunderstorms area also expected to affect the remainder of the area through the day Sunday.
